Anglesea Irish Society Cancels Boots at the Beach Country Music Festival Indefinitely
Wildwood – As a local charitable organization, Anglesea Irish Society (AIS) has long-standing values
incorporated within our mission to support the community of the Wildwoods and Greater-Cape May County area. Local events that have helped us to provide support to the community over the years are including but not limited to our Boots at the Beach Country Music Festival, AOH Irish Fall Festival, and our annual Bonfire on the Beach that is put on through a partnership the Wildwood Jaycees.
Since 2020, our organization experienced constraints as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Those constraints led us to cancel events for public health reasons, such as the Boots at the Beach Country Music Festival and our annual Bonfire on the Beach, which also resulted in our organization operating at a multiyear decrease in charitable funds that helped to support community donations, scholarships, and public outreach.
While our organization has made significant strides to recover from the pandemic, the high production costs and demand on our membership to make this year’s festival season a success have led Anglesea Irish Society to rethink how we operate the Boots at the Beach Country Music Festival. While our charitable nonprofit organization has enjoyed bringing Country Music to the North Wildwood Entertainment District for the last several years to raise funds to support the communities of Greater-Cape May County, inflated product costs in a post-pandemic world have also played a large role in the decision we have to make today.
With all things considered, it gives us great sadness to announce that the Boots at the Beach Country Music Festival held in the North Wildwood Entertainment District is hereby cancelled, indefinitely.
Anglesea Irish Society would like to sincerely thank all past patrons, vendors, bands, DJs, GWTIDA, Tito’s Vodka and all of the adjacent businesses that bought into this festival over the years. And, thank you to all for your understanding in our organization coming to make this very difficult decision.
